Benjamin Released His Debut EP

Benjamin has gained international acclaim from media outlets across the globe, premiering Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe’s global Beats1 radio show titled “Breaking Through” where Benjamin first performed an acoustic version of his debut single “Just Friends” followed by Benji Brown on BBC Introducing and playing venues such as London’s 606 Club, Glastonbury Festival and Scotland’s King Tuts.

Benjamin released his debut EP “Sessions” on March 1 2017, a collection of 5 songs recorded in London with producer Charles Scott. The EP debuted at No. 8 on the UK iTunes alternative chart and was praised by publications such as Stereoboard for its 70s soul vibe and DIY like production style, prompting them to personally invite Benjamin to perform live at Manchester’s O2 Ritz during their annual festival The Great Escape.

Benjamin has so far toured the UK with artists such as Christopher Owens (Girls) playing venues including Glasgow Gaumont & Birmingham Institute 2 both sold out shows plus other dates across the UK including Leeds Brudenell Social Club alongside Dan Croll where he also played a stripped back solo acoustic version of “Just Friends” for BBC Introducing, Belfast’s Limelight & Dublin’s The Workman’s Club. He has also

made appearances on live TV shows including Ireland’s RTE 2FM radio alongside singer songwriter Cathy in their weekly show promoting Benjamin’s debut single.

Benjamin was recently featured on Clash Magazine where he discussed working with Brett Ratner and how Aurora from Dressed To Kill helped him get signed to Atlantic Records who have distribution through Warner Brothers/AWAL and Pelagic Records.

Benjamin performed a duet version of the Elvis Presley hit “Can’t Help Falling In Love” with Canadian Idol finalist Paige Miles at her Toronto show playing Cornerstone Festival as well as an acoustic solo show in Strathcona, a small & vibrant neighborhood in Toronto.

Benjamin is currently working on his debut solo LP which will be released by Atlantic Records after he graduated with honors from the Berklee College of Music.

Born and raised in London, England Benjamin spent most of his school life at St. Paul’s School where he began playing music hoping to pursue it as an actual career upon graduation however this changed once he discovered the likes of Michael Jackson & Stevie Wonder being inspired by their legendary musical careers so he decided to follow a path leading to a degree in Music Business Management at the prestigious Berklee College Of Music.

After graduating from one of the best music colleges around the world Benjamin moved back home where he played around London for several months before playing small acoustic shows in bars & cafes all around the United Kingdom with only his family knowing about it.

Benjamin traveled to Los Angeles after discovering a management agency there and decided to book a show at downtown’s The Viper Room where he performed for an audience of 50 people, gaining him lots of media exposure including Rolling Stone magazine who interviewed him personally during his visit. After playing several dates on the west coast Benjamin flew back home to London upon being offered recording opportunities with various labels before meeting Atlantic Records producer Brett Ratner who mentored his music career as well as signing an important record deal officially releasing “Just Friends” on March 1 2017.

He also stated that he was influenced by Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson as they inspire his work (currently working on debut album).
